Perfection achieved...
I can hardly look away at that... tiny, tiny little tapering point to the droplet, leading towards the tip of the leaf... gives this whole frame so much momentum and such a sense of frailty... -- My Portfolio Katie Franke Traditional Art Gallery Moderator Absolutely gorgeous. I remember when you showed this to me a few weeks back and how I kept telling you how wonderful it is.
I love the different greens and blues and the small hints of reds. Plus the cropping works wonders now. -- Thank you so much, Katie.
That was certainly the look I was trying to achieve, so I'm very glad you caught it. I'm also highly flattered you favourited it. -- Portfolio | |

The muted tones are really interesting, it adds a vintage feeling to the piece. The muted green background really makes the droplet stand out because of the contrast of the white in the droplet. It's good that you chose an earthy color because bright backgrounds really distract the viewer from the subject. I am also intrigued by the sharpness and the clarity of the droplet, it's so crisp and stands out well against the blurred background.
The focus is dynamic. I am unsure if it was by post-processing if the background was blurred like that or if it was originally a part of the picture. I am intrigued with your lack of symmetry because I see that most pictures like these center the droplet in the center of the picture, but yours is in the bottom right, which is a nice change.
Keep up the awesome work. :'D
Your drop shots in general never come straight to the point and are so utterly generic like so, so many of those "Here. Droplet. Lookie lookie shiny shiny. Es naic."-macro shots.
The many many distorted and surreal viewpoints on the depicted items make your pieces striking and distinctive.
What I love about this photo in particular is the focus which is sheer brilliance, the droplet becomes the focal point of a very surreal overall image which scores with its wonderful colors and the mystic and almost swirling and vibrant reflections within the little droplet.
Definitely one, maybe even the most beautiful of your photographs as of yet.
